2019 Meyer Vineyard Black Label Pinot noir

Our single vineyard designated wines all share a red label color.  They also share a similar winemaking philosophy which seeks to balance fruit and vineyard terroir with subtle oak flavors.  Unlike its delicious, red-labelled sibling, this 2019 Meyer Vineyard Pinot noir has a black label and is a deviation from the “norm.” With the stunning amount of fruit expression we achieved from Meyer in 2019, we wanted to go big on beautiful oak flavors and made this wine using 100% brand new, premium French oak barrels.  With double the amount of new oak as the red label Meyer, this wine is more oak driven with intense aromas of dark chocolate, mocha, cedar, sandalwood and graham cracker.  The added oak also contributes quite a lot of structure and has a fuller, broader mouthfeel.  This powerhouse of a wine was crafted to age and improve over the next decade in bottle.
