2022 Barrel Select Chardonnay

The 2022 vintage marks only the second release of our Barrel Select Reserve Chardonnay. Made using the top six barrels of Chardonnay produced in the vintage but this time sourced exclusively from our high elevation Chestnut Hill estate vineyard, this premium offering highlights the rich fruit, texture and ageability of this varietal. The lovely nose features pear, tart apple and white nectarine accented by lemon curd and honeysuckle. The new oak barrels sourced from the Allier and Vosges forest in France, introduce a creamy mid-palate and notes of crême brulée and brioche. This wine was crafted to be highly ageable, patient cellaring makes it the perfect pairing with a special meal!

“A ripe and redolent Chardonnay with ample oak influence, the barrel select is chosen from the vintage’s top six barrels of Chardonnay across their estate sites and aged in French oak for 16 months. Warm spice aromas and bruised apples mingle with honeysuckle and whisps of almond pastry cream. The palate shows intense beeswax and honey, macerated yellow peaches, poached pear, and a nutmeg-spiced finish.”
